I became a genetic counselor because I believe everyone deserves access to their own genetic information, clearly explained, without a long wait, and without needing the right referral from the right provider to get there.
In Idaho, that access has been hard to come by. Most genetic counselors work within hospital systems with strict criteria for who qualifies for an appointment. Patients wait months or years, having to deal with strict criteria for who qualifies for an appointment, and many never get seen at all. I started Empower Genetics to change that.
Your genetics belong to you. You shouldn't need permission to understand them.
At Empower Genetics, there are no referrals required, no waitlists, and no red tape. Just a board-certified genetic counselor who will take the time to actually listen and make sure you leave with real answers and a plan you can use.
